Encryption, while essential for protecting the integrity and security of network traffic, complicates visibility in modern hybrid cloud environments.  Malware hidden in encrypted traffic is a growing threat to organizations, with over 90 percent of these attacks concealed in the TLS/SSL encryption used by secured websites.   
This presents significant challenges for encrypted traffic inspection and increases the risk of regulatory non-compliance.   
The blind spot created by encrypted traffic, reduces network detection and response (NDR) effectiveness in inspecting and analyzing encrypted network traffic hindering comprehensive security and compliance efforts. Failure to meet compliance requirements for inspecting both encrypted and unencrypted traffic can lead to fines and penalties.
